Olde Salem Days
Virginia’s premiere arts and craft festival. We anticipate and even larger and improved event than last year, with well over 300 artisans and crafters bringing creative pieces for shoppers seeking both unique as well as practical items/gifts.
Patrick County Agricultural Fair
Smell of cotton candy, funnel cake, and candy apples... The excitement and thrills of carnival rides, testing your skills on the midway, listing to live music only happens once a year at the Patrick County Agricultural Fair in Stuart, VA. Come meet your family and friends September 10th - 14 at Rotary Field in Stuart, VA.
Gates open nightly at 5:30 PM, rides at 6 - 10PM. General Admission Adults 19 & up $5, Youth 6 - 18 $3, Children 5 & under free. Wristband Unlimited Rides 'til 10 PM ($25 or purchase online for a discount by Sept. 9) & Ride Only Tickets Available.

Food Truck Thursdays
Join us this fall as we transform various parks into a foodie haven, showcasing a diverse lineup of food trucks.
Indulge your taste buds with a convoy of top-notch food trucks offering a wide range of cuisines! This is the perfect way to explore new parks and enjoy the great outdoors on your lunch break.
Seating will be available but feel free to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the park your way.
Pickin’ in the park
Bluegrass legend Junior Sisk is returning to Salem’s annual Pickin’ In The Park concert this summer. This marks the fourth straight year that Sisk and his group of amazing pickers and singers are headlining the Longwood Park Amphitheater show with their fast playing and uplifting harmonies.
This year’s FREE event takes place on Saturday, August 17, and it also features local favorites Wound Tight and New Standard. Thanks to Sisk and our regional bands, Pickin’ In The Park has become one of Salem’s most popular events.
Pickin’ In The Park attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy the complimentary concerts. Patrons are permitted to bring in outside food, but no alcohol is allowed to enter the premises from the outside. On-site vendors will be selling adult beverages. Children’s games will be set up for that age group, but please remember that pets are not allowed at this event.

Bushels & Barrels Local Food, Wine & Beer festival is a partnership among local non-profit organizations in Patrick County: Reynolds Homestead, a Commonwealth Campus Center of Virginia Tech and One Family Productions, producers of Front Porch Fest. The mission of Bushels & Barrels is to mutually promote the economic development of our local food, wine, and beer producers, generate more public awareness for the local products available in our area, and increase tourism to the local area with a signature event.

RAIN OR SHINE!! The Town of Stuart will host its 21st Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Uptown Stuart. The festival will have live music by: Marcie Horne and Mike Pendleton (10:00 AM to 11:00 AM), The Hutchens (11:15 AM to 12:30 PM) and Reggie Johnson "The Blues Man" (2:00 PM to 3:30 PM). August Heat Audio (Sound). Outdoor Entertainment - Mike Gravley. IF RAIN, MUSIC WILL BE RELOCATED TO UPTOWN STAGECOACH located at 121 N Main Street, Stuart. Plus, FRESH strawberries. Pumpkinfest
The 23rd annual Pumpkinfest is Friday, October 27 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Salem Farmer's Market. Admission is only $5 at the gate and kids 15 and under are free. Lots of fun for the whole family including inflatables, sand art, carnival games, the Surgeons vs. Chefs pumpkin carving contest, kids costume contest, and a very special Trick or Treat Zone. The event benefits the Special Olympics Virginia-Area 8: Roanoke Valley. Enjoy food trucks, a beer truck, and live music.
